Importantly:  You should realize that because of the possible numbers of sounds that may be sent your sound may never be listened to and reviewed; and, you should know that the researchers will not be in a position to inform you of anything regarding your sound as your sound will not be identifiable even to the researcher by the time they open the sound file.

Future Plans:  Not with this project - but with future projects, we hope to develop a system that will give people an automated reply to submitted heart sounds informing them of information about the sound which could be helpful to them.  

Exempt:

Participation in sending your sound as described, has been designated an exempt activity from research regulator oversight at our University. A letter to this effect is on file.
